WorkoutTrack
Privacy Policy
Summary
WorkoutTrack is a strength-training log for Android. Your training data stays on your phone — WorkoutTrack has no server and no account. The only network traffic is advertising, and Health Connect is entirely optional. This page says exactly what the app stores, what leaves your device, and the choices you have.
Who we are
WorkoutTrack is published by Seven Talons LLC ("we", "us"), 4539 N 22nd St #6040, Phoenix AZ 85016, USA. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at tmolina@seventalons.com.
What the app stores on your device
WorkoutTrack keeps the following in a private database on your phone. None of it is uploaded to us or to any server we operate, because we don't operate one.
- Routines you create or edit, and the built-in starter routines.
- Workouts you log: date and time, duration, exercises, weight and reps per set, and any note you add.
- Personal records and progress charts, which are computed from the workouts above.
- Settings: your preferred weight unit (kg or lb), default rest-timer length, and the start date of your weekly program.
You can delete any workout from the History tab. Uninstalling the app deletes everything. The app does not require an account and has no sign-in.
Advertising
WorkoutTrack shows a banner advertisement served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK collects information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device model, operating system version, and coarse location derived from IP. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and their advertising policies.
Your choices
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: on first launch the app shows a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform. You can decline personalised ads, and change that later via Privacy & ad settings on the Home tab.
- Everywhere: Android lets you reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings → Privacy → Ads, and opt out of ad personalisation.
Nothing you log in WorkoutTrack — routines, workouts, weights, personal records — is shared with Google or any advertiser, and it is never used to target ads.
Health Connect (optional)
Health Connect is Android's on-device health data store. WorkoutTrack can connect to it so your finished workouts appear in other health apps you use, and so those apps' data can inform WorkoutTrack. This is off until you turn it on from the Home tab, and the in-app explanation reads:
When you connect, WorkoutTrack writes each finished workout to Health Connect as an exercise session (start time, duration, routine name and note) with an estimated active calorie burn. It reads your body weight only to make that estimate. Nothing is sent off your phone, and you can disconnect at any time from Health Connect's settings.
In detail, WorkoutTrack requests three Health Connect permissions:
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Write exercise sessions | To record each finished workout as a strength-training session. |
| Write active calories burned | To record an estimate of energy used during that session. The estimate is a simple formula based on session length and body weight; it is not a measurement and should not be relied on for medical or dietary decisions. |
| Read body weight | Only to compute that estimate. If no weight is available, no calorie record is written. |
Health Connect data is stored on your device by Android, not by WorkoutTrack, and WorkoutTrack does not transmit it anywhere. We never use Health Connect data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than the functionality described above, in line with Google Play's Health Connect policy.
You control this connection in Android's Health Connect settings: you can revoke any permission, see and delete the records WorkoutTrack has written, or disconnect the app entirely. Deleting a workout inside WorkoutTrack also removes its Health Connect records the next time the app syncs. WorkoutTrack keeps working without Health Connect.
Analytics and crash reporting
WorkoutTrack includes no analytics or crash-reporting SDK. If a future version adds one, this policy will be updated first, and any such data will exclude your Health Connect data.
Permissions summary
| Android permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| Internet, network state | Loading advertisements. |
| Advertising ID | Google AdMob, as described above. |

Children
WorkoutTrack is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address before the change takes effect, with the version number and effective date above updated.
